The Medical Supply Request Form is designed to streamline the ordering process for healthcare professionals, ensuring an intuitive and efficient experience. You can easily select the appropriate medical supplies needed, with the form automatically flagging relevant orders that will be integrated into the patient’s chart. This automation not only enhances accuracy in inventory management but also aids in maintaining comprehensive patient records. By simplifying the ordering process, the form empowers medical staff to focus more on patient care while ensuring they have the necessary supplies at their fingertips.
Once you have selected a patient, from the Main Patient Page, click Start Form in the top right corner.
The drop-down menu will allow you to either scroll the alphabetized list or begin to type the name of the form, and it will populate and can be chosen.
Once selected, you will select Start and the form will open for you to begin to document.
The form is quite extensive but can be broken down into parts. The first part of the form allows you to order a Brace.
There are several types of braces to choose from and whenever certain ones are chosen, they will automatically add a flag to the patient’s chart, and if another Medical Supply Request Form is opened – they will automatically be checked if the order is still current.
You will choose appropriately, based on the order the type of brace, the body area it is being utilized for, and if it contains metal stays.
The next section deals with Shoes and Assistive Devices. Again, if certain of these are chosen, the patient’s chart will automatically be flagged.
The third part of the form deals with CPAP and BIPAP and allows you to choose a variety of supplies.
The last part of the form deals with Other supplies not categorized previously. Proactively, some of these will also flag the patient’s chart and stay checked on another form if the order is still current.
When all supplies have been ordered, you will select Save and Complete to save the form and place the order.
