You can utilize the Sick Call Viewer to view a full list of all patients who are due for an Appointment. The Sick Call Viewer module is crucial in helping you to determine a daily work list of patients for your facility. Whether you are a provider, nurse, or mental health professional, you can utilize the filters on this screen to determine your list of patients for the day.
To access the Sick Call Viewer, click Appointments from the Global Menu and select Sick Call Viewer.
The system displays the Appointment Viewer screen. You can view all appointments/sick calls that are scheduled for the day in your facility by entering a specific date. You can filter the list to show only appointments of a specific type or multiple types. You can also filter appointments by housing location to help you focus on those patients in need of an encounter that are housed in a specific facility, area, or mod/pod.
Click the Show Priority First checkbox if you want to see all of the appointments entered as Priority appointments at the top of your list.
Completing Patient Sick Calls
You can complete and document patient sick calls from both the patient’s appointments/sick call list and also from the Sick Call Viewer.
If you want to complete the encounter from the patient’s list of Sick Calls, click the Action dropdown menu next to the encounter that you just performed, and select the Completed option. You can also select the toggle switch next to the encounter, then use the Completed option from the Mark Selected dropdown menu.
From the Sick Call Viewer, you can complete multiple appointments at once for patients if you would like. Simply select the toggle switches next to the patient appointments you want to complete, then select the Completed option from the Mark Selected dropdown menu.
The system prompts you to enter a reason for the completion of the encounter no matter which scenario you choose.
Use one of the reasons in this list to document the specific action that you took in the encounter:
